“Though salary increases are not yet widespread in advertising we’re seeing indications of increased recruitment activity throughout the UK and there is growing demand for advertising professionals, especially those who have digital skills,” she revealed.
“Since the market improves and you will find more deductions to choose from it will be important for organisations to guarantee the can proceed from interview to provide as swiftly as possible.”
The sluggish movement on remuneration has created an environment where 63 percent of marketers plan to move jobs in the next 12 weeks, with 37% saying they plan to move within the next six months as Kemsley pointed out.
When asked for the reasons for their move just 26% mentioned salary and benefits as a contributing factor, whereas 30% stated a lack of opportunities that were future was the reason for leaving their current function.
Problems with hiring

Despite these problems with recruitment, advertising employers do expect to increase their head count at the forthcoming 12 months and 63% state direction and management is the skillset by their organisation.
From the marketing field that is general, London-based advertising directors are typically earning #130,000 compared to Scotland at which the same position boasts a salary of #60-#75,000, but Kemsley warns against putting too much focus.
“Employees seldom move for salary independently but it’s always an important thing and companies need to check at what they can provide in order to attract and keep the best workers.”
